Nondescript, but powerful, the planet's largest conglomerate, Industrial Services, counts its cargo ship fleet as one of its greatest assets. Goods Transport Division
Initially developed to reduce costly shipping of parts and goods, this fleet has expanded to run round-the-clock shipments and to have its own network of IndServ owned and run repair stations. (After all, what kind of servicing company would IndServ be if it couldn’t service its own.)
As their services and technology have expanded, so have IndServ’s ships—ensuring items needing grow stimulation or retardation, refrigeration, atmospheric or pressure regulation, etc. are safely transported.
Though commonly automated, these ships do frequently have limited engineering crew on extended and/or high-profit trips. High-profit trips are often equipped with a security detail as well—a precaution that was undertaken after a series of cargoes were lost to pirates.
