The universal translator was developed early in the Barpadai space years. Recognizing that interaction with other peoples would require an advanced means of communication, the Barpadai council funded its development.
Using Tadari as a base—because of the language’s complexity—the universal translator was designed with Barpadi as a sort of “Rosetta Stone” to create the first language bridge from which the AI learns.
