Scratchbuilding a Bird’s Woven Basket

Sturnovula from the Drifting Amalgams universe have seeds to carry and knives to protect themselves. So, of course, this mesolithic species has baskets and sheaths woven from plant fibers.

Watch Aaron envision basket weaving for avian as he scratch builds a basket for this sci fi world building project from Casey Hudson's sci-fi book series.

More about Stunovula Technology

During their Mesolithic period, Center-North members used simple tools that could be manipulated with their feet or beaks. This included farming tools, weapons, and woven items with utilitarian purpose.

Because of their physiology and size, as they evolved, they often worked with tadaribrae to create items of interest. Alternatively, they use others’ technology in idiosyncratic ways, work cooperatively with others to manipulate devices, or reappropriate parts of others’ technologies for use in their own devices.

The stunningly swift evolution of the peoples of Center-North has resulted in an equally great advancement in their knowledge of tools and technology.
