Well, I’m Casey Hudson, and I’m a sci fi writer. I base my sci fi world on the science and technology of today because, not only is our world interesting, but I love to think that my work helps people understand and explore this world just a little more.
To do all that, though, I have to do research. A lot of research. I figured, why not share that research with you.

There are three major categories of information that I share here:
Tangential Science gives quick snippets of the research I do. Though I do read some scientific papers, the information I present here is meant for people with a more casual interest in the physical world. Topics here can vary from animal traits to space travel to artificial intelligence, so be sure to check these out for a regular dose of science.
Writing: Process and Passion is where I go into detail about turning tangential science into fiction. Some weeks I’ll share worldbuilding structures. Other weeks I’ll talk about how I make narrative decisions. Either way, if you want to emulate my style of sci fi world building, sign up for my monthly newsletter on WorldWorkings.com. Aaron Does it Wrong is probably my favorite category because it’s where I get to see my fiction come to life. In these creation videos, my partner Aaron sculpts, paints, builds, and does a kitbash here and there for all manner of things from my books. Whether it’s a character or a planet. A vehicle or a skeletal structure. You’ll get to watch Aaron create a visualization from scratch–amateur style.
